Monument Place

On a spectacular site next to the Iwo Jima Memorial and with unobstructed views of the Washington Monument and the National Mall, Eakin/Youngentob has built seventeen extraordinarily handsome townhomes. The townhomes were sited in a very urban fashion on a sloping site that required special attention to the treatment of the streetscape and the creation of a courtyard to gain access to half the units along a narrow alley in the rear.

ParkerRodriguez turned this major marketing liability into a beautiful alley entrance to the units. As a result of our design, these units that the Client considered risky were the first units to sell.

ParkerRodriguez worked with the architects, The Lessard Group, to design small passages, terraces, entrances, balustraded promenades, rooftop gardens, fountains and gardens evocative of late 19th century architecture.
