Rock Spring Condominiums

An extraordinary high-density residential project in the Washington, DC market. Eschewing the conventional Washington reliance on traditionalist American architecture, Rock Springs adopted a Tuscan theme.

The landscape response was to exploit the steep site overlooking a stream valley ravine with multiple terraces cascading from the picturesque arrival courtyard to the park below. The terraces incorporate a myriad of amenities for the residents, all using an Etruscan vocabulary. ParkerRodriguez carefully researched the Tuscan landscape vocabulary in preparation for their design.
