Wardman Park
Washington D.c.
This multi-family residential complex is located on an existing bluff in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The nearly 10-acre site covers over 70 feet of grade chance and shares a parcel with the existing historic Wardman Tower and The Woodley apartment building. The site design looks to remove the existing sprawling Marriott Hotel and instead replace it with 2 residential towers connected by underground parking garages and shared amenity fitness area. The proposed 867 unit complex will create an privately accessible 2-acre courtyard.
Amenities for this space include outdoor fitness terraces, community green space for events, a 2,000 SF in-ground pool flanked with outdoor cabanas, exterior bar structure with outdoor kitchen equipment, playscape, grill stations, outdoor co-working areas, and outdoor party rooms specific to each building. The courtyard is immersed in lush plantings with integrated bioretention planters and other sustainable elements. Each building will also include dedicated dog parks, penthouse pools, grills, and fire pits. The project is currently under construction and seeking LEED Gold certification.
