Karah Ramsey is a Landscape Designer at ParkerRodriguez.  She works on a variety of project types in the office, seeing them through all phases of design and construction.  Motivated by an attention to detail in all things she works on, Karah enjoys taking projects from the broad conceptual phase to a realized, built design.

Karah believes well designed landscapes are full of potential and vitality, and she finds it very fulfilling to be a part of creating places where people’s lives intersect one another. She believes access to natural and built landscapes are crucial to sustaining connected and meaningful lives. Through her work, Karah is energized by the idea that she can be a part of shaping a person’s experience in the natural world, and therefore building community.

Prior to starting at PRI, Karah spent two years in Dallas, Texas at the landscape architecture firm MESA Design Group.  While there, she was a member of the design team for Factory Six03 and Market Plaza, an early favorite project in her career, which won the Texas ASLA 2017 Merit Award for Design Unrealized and the 2020 Merit Award for Design Constructed.

A self-identified cinephile, Karah sees as many movies in theaters as possible.  In 2019 she saw 134 films in the theater, a new personal record.  She also enjoys attending the Virginia Film Festival every fall in Charlottesville, VA.
