Steven is an associate principal, lead designer and project manager taking projects from concept through completion. As a PRI team member for more than 20 years, Steve brings a tremendous amount of experience to his projects, prior to working at PRI, Steve also worked at Lardner/Klein Landscape Architects.
Steve is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect who is proud to have led his team to develop engaging, functional and award-winning outdoor environments. Over his career he has also volunteered with community schools to create outdoor play and learning environments and maintaining local parks. Steve believes it is important to respect the processes and reciprocities of our world; to remember that rocks one day feed the trees that then produce oxygen that allow us to breathe.
He strives to create spaces that inspire people to get outside and experience beautiful spaces that fit their context and bring people in contact with natural things. This requires looking at the big picture and then honing in on details that distills it and balancing the refined materials with the raw.
Steve grew up in rural Pennsylvania where he spent much of his youth playing in and learning about the woods and streams of his family’s property.
