With an extensive range of industry positions and multiple degrees in the landscape field, Brian offers over 17 years of working experience in landscape development. During his 15 years at PRI, Brian has been actively involved with all phases of project development from conceptual design to construction administration. He has acted as the primary project manager for various mixed-use developments and has designed multiple award-winning landscapes in the urban environment. Prior to working in the Washington, D.C. area, he was engaged in various landscape industry fields, providing a broad range of knowledge and experience in the areas of environmental restoration, arboriculture, horticulture, water feature design, construction, and landscape design.
Brian is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a licensed Landscape Architect in both Virginia and Georgia. He has proudly received awards for The Mosaic and Fort Totten Square (MD ASLA 2016), The Tellus (Award of Excellence – Design Arlington 2017), 1701 Rhode Island Avenue (NAIOP DC 2019) and The Signet (Delta Associates Award). He is also recognized for his involvement in one of the first LEED Platinum certified projects in the State of Virginia at Fort Belvoir.
Brian’s motivation comes from the pleasure of ‘reinventing’ ideas of landscape in the urban environment and bringing unique solutions to his clients projects. He is inspired by his passion to create memorable outdoor spaces that integrate garden and art with compelling and sustainable horticultural and ecological features. He is most happy strolling in the garden, working in his vegetable patch, or wading in a stream.
